"World
Domination, the Day of the Swift" |
Results of "World Domination, the Day of the Swift"
100 Swifts were
flown on that one day.
Four countries were represented. They were the USA,
Canada, Brazil and France.
32 Swifts were in the air at the exact same time.
Six of the participating pilots flew more than one Swift.
They were Harley Howell, Sam Swift, Wade Gillaspie,
Allan Dicker Gary Daulton and Ron Huddleston.
The person who rode in the most Swifts was Ron Huddleston,
he rode in 3 that day.
The first one to fly that day was Paul Mercandetti. He took
off at 11:30 PM on Nov. 3rd and landed at 12:20 AM November
4th.
Longest flight was 10 hours by Craig Layson. To get an early
start, he departed T82 at 4:30 AM.
The shortest flight was 7 minutes by Dave Hanus.
Dave Hanus was also the last one to fly on that day.
Dave landed at 10:37 PM.
Total estimated flying time reported was 136.2 Hrs.
The only Swift reported to me that was flown by multiple
pilots was N3729K, Steve Roth flew to destination and Lynn
Dawson, Steve’s wife, flew back.
Largest flight of Swifts was a flight of four by the Diamond
Point bunch. Participating in that flight were, Gerry Mahoney,
Bill Shepherd, Gary Eklund and John Johnson.
Thank you to all who were able to participate and make “World
Domination, the Day of the Swift” a success.
The bar has officially been set.
