SWIFT TOW BAR...

Subject: RE: Tail dragger dragger
Folks,
Michelle bought a Tail Dragger Dragger from Aircraft Spruce (p/n 13-1-01510)
and it works great. It's adjustable and we've tried it on my friends 170
with the Scott tail wheel and it works fine. We had friends make up some
TDDs but they just didn't work as well as this one. The adds are correct:
a 110# (or less in case Michelle is reading this :) can really move a
plane around with it and it doesn't damage the tail wheel cap. We did
have to put a little padding on the bar because the rudder can hit it
when moving around, but besides that, it's a great tool. -- Mark

My name is Steve Whittenberger and I live at Spruce Creek in Florida.
I have a tailwheel dolly that is made especially for the Swift. Nice piece
of equipment and it works very well. It is like other tailwheel dolly's
except that the lower bar is extended so that it fits perfectly under
the tail of the Swift. Both Terry Bloom and I have one of these here at
Spruce Creek. A man named Dave Govoni manufactures them. I'm sure he would
ship one to you. They cost around $125 or so.

LAST SWIFT TOW BAR...

Hey guys, I noticed the message regarding a towbar. I special ordered
on from the Taildragger-Dragger people. They already had the measurements
for the Swift and had made many before. I received mine and had no problems
with it. I don't have their contact info nearby, but they always advertise
in Trade-A-Plane. Sam Swift, N3760K

Hi Denis.. It's nice to e-mail you, and say hello! I'm sending a series
of pix of my tow bar I inherited when I bought 21K. This is a follow up
on the request in the April news letter asking about tow bars. This bar
does a great job, and seems easy enough to make, the pix speak for them
selves. If anyone is interested, I can get the exact measurements.....
I've got a few more series on the way!!!!!!! Also, leaving for Athens
May 22 from Quincy Illinois, with one fuel stop in Bowling Green Ky! Anybody
like to stop by the day or 2 before, your welcomed to follow me, or lead
the way..JG N3321K
(Editor says... I’ve posted
Jack’s tow bar photos on a special page on the GTS Homepage. (
